Research Interests

Current research includes:(1)Use of immunomarking techniques to study nutrient distribution and foraging behavior in ants and termites,
(2) Spatial colony structure and foraging ecology in the black carpenter ant, Camponotus pennsylvanicus,
(3) Genomic investigation of caste differentiation in termites,
(4) Interspecific competition and nutritional ecology in the odorous house ant, Tapinoma sessile,
(5) Sponsored (applied) research in the lab and field on termites and ants.
